This Clinical Update in Diabetes Care was originally delivered on May 12, 2023 at the SGIM23 Annual Meeting in Denver.

Diabetes is one of the most common conditions seen in primary care, and primary care clinicians manage the majority of patients with diabtest compared to any other specialty.  In this session, faculty will start by describing the trends in diabetes and prediabetes prevelance in the U.S.  Next, they will review the newest updates in the field of diabetes care in terms of medication, lifestyle management, and diabetes prevention; with a brief discussion in changes in diabetes care as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
